Music and dance are a love story.
In May 2025, Mr Kriss invited me to play at one of his workshops in Berlin. That weekend was an opportunity to meet extraordinary people with whom I truly wanted to collaborate — Lily, Léa and Martin were among them.
A year later, I returned to Berlin for a month. In the meantime, I had finished recording my new EP The Fall Session. I saw it as an opportunity for collaboration. I chose the track “Amalgam” and reached out to my Berlin friends to create a music video together around that piece. Rocio Pez spontaneously joined the project at the very last minute. What a happy coincidence… A space, a vertical light. One cameraman and three dancers. We improvised for three hours on a July evening.
I then edited the Berlin footage together with the shots taken in my studio in Toulouse. The whole challenge lay in creating a dialogue between these two spaces. My music and their dance. - Taisen
